Slideshow: Our Class Breakup
On Friday the class came to my house and we went down the plain white waterslide. When I did a bomb into the water my legs got biten by an eel. It felt like a little nip on my heal except it hurt more. By William
It was funny when Mr Lietze had a ride on the waterslide. He jumped onto his bottom and slid down the slide. He landed in mud at the bottom. By Bianca
Canoing was my favourite because it was new to me. I also liked going down the waterslide. It was yucky when we landed in the mud at the bottom. When we were watching the people go down the waterslide, suddenly there was thunder and lighting. BOOM! Then the rain came down. It went twinky twinky. William said that the Mums' could go up to their house for coffee and tea. By Ketsia
On Friday night at William's house we went canoing. I had my first time in a canoe and I learnt how to row backwards. I also went down the waterslide and then I got a big scratch on my leg because there was a sharp bit on the end of the slide and you got scratches from the grass. By Caitlin

"Athletics was fun. When I fell over on my back it hurt a lot but I still did the sprints!" By William
"On Friday we had a lot of fun at athletics. We went onto the field and we did sprints and ball shooting. We also did long jump. Ball shooting was my favourite because you got to throw the balls past people." By Ned
"On Friday our class went to athletics day. We did it with our syndicate and the 4,5 and 6 year olds." By Caleb

Picture: The Toys Arrived Safely!
Wow B2! Look at the child's face - what do you think they are thinking? Who can spot their toy?
Our toys have arrived in the Philippians at the Ruel House.
Last term we were learning about Our Responsibility to the Pacific Islands. We decided to give up some of our toys to help the sick children in the Philippians (even though the Philippians are not in the Pacific). The toys helped make the children happy who were having operations and staying at the Ruel House. By Maddison
At our Show and Tell day Johnny came to collect our toys to take to the Ruel House so that all the little children could have a cuddle with the teddies.
Today we found a picture on our blog of a child with all our toys. The child is from the Philippians and is staying at the Ruel House. By Caitlin

We have been sick!
This term many of us have been sick. Over half the class has had the flu and had to be at home for at least 2 days.
Today we talked about how we can keep healthy. This is what we came up with:
1) "We need to cover our mouths when we cough or sneeze" said Caitlin.
2) "You need to wash your hands after you have been to the toilet and before you eat food" said Dior.
3) Ned said "You must always put your shoes on when you go outside".
4) "You should eat healthy food and don't go to school when your sick!" Said Maddison.
These are the rules we will follow in B2.

"The Goose And the Golden Eggs." We are learning to retell stories using adjectives (describing words).
The Goose And The Golden Eggs.
Retold by Caitlin
(My favourite part)
Once there was a farmer with hairy legs and a wife that smelt of perfume. They went to get a waddling goose. The next day the goose had laid a golden egg, then every day the goose laid a golden egg. The more eggs the more greedier they became.
The Goose And The Golden Eggs.
Retold by Ethan
Once there was a farmer with hairy legs and his mean wife. Together they bought a white goose. The next morning the farmer’s wife found a golden egg under the goose. Every morning the farmer's wife kept finding golden eggs and sold them. One day the farmer's wife said "We should kill the goose". So they killed the goose. "Oh silly me" said the wife.
